The BFMTV antenna disrupted by a strike this Sunday

Thirty people were on strike this Sunday at BFMTV to demand an increase in end-of-year bonuses to compensate for inflation. This has slightly changed the distribution of information on channel 15, depriving viewers of morning shows and newspapers launched by presenters.

You may have noticed it when you put channel 15 on your television this Sunday: newspapers all in pictures, which were not launched by presenters on set. This unusual format is the result of a strike call made by around thirty BFMTV technicians and journalists. Faced with inflation, they demanded an increase in end-of-year bonuses. Management has yet offered bonuses, but not high enough according to the unions. The strikers claim double because they say they do not accept “to lose purchasing power in a group that earns money”.

No morning or trays

The newspapers were not the only disturbed passages on the air. Rarely, the viewers of the 15 woke up without morning, but with reruns of the night. In the afternoon, instead of the usual broadcasts, documentaries were rebroadcast. Only a few journalists’ duplexes were broadcast and one program was able to take place normally: BFM politique. The call for the strike runs until Wednesday, without having any impact on the antenna for the moment. This Monday morning, the usual morning, with its presenters, took place.
