“The big celebrity bake” starts its sixth season on January 12th. These stars are there.

“The big celebrity bake” starts the new year with the sixth season and six episodes. From Wednesday, January 12th (8:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and on Joyn), presenter Enie van de Meiklokjes (47) will again ask eight celebrities to come to the stove. Who will be able to convince the jurors Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt (50) and Christian Hümbs (40) of his baking skills?

These prominent hobby bakers are there

The various cake and cake challenges will be: Reality TV star Evelyn Burdecki (33), comedian Faisal Kawusi (30), actress Natalia Avelon (41), ex-boxing world champion Sven Ottke (54), presenter and actress Jenny Elvers (49), actor Hardy Krüger Jr. (53), choreographer Detlef Soost (51) and influencer Sarah Harrison (30). They all want to win the Golden Cupcake and 10,000 euros for a good cause.

For many of the prominent participants, the baking experiences leave a lot to be desired. “My baking ability before the competition was a good 0-1 on the baking scale,” explains Jenny Elvers. “As a 1.90 m-100 kg guy, I tend to have a rough rather than fine motor skills,” says Detlef Soost. When it comes to decoration, which visually gives a pastry the finishing touch, it is not necessarily to be found in the first row. Faisal Kawusi sees an advantage in his inexperience: “My family and friends would be surprised when they see me operating an oven. I’m often underestimated, but that’s great! It’s a very, very good position.”

“There were moments when the opponent was just stronger than me – you shouldn’t underestimate such a dough”, Evelyn Burdecki gives a first insight into the new season. According to her own statements, Natalia Avelon was surprised “what emotions arose while baking. I would never have expected that”.

“The big celebrity bake”: the concept

Each program consists of three baking challenges: In episode one, the stars first present their favorite recipe. In the technical test everything revolves around the absolute favorite pastry of juror Christian Hümbs: Franzbrötchen.

The highlight of the show is the baked “business card” of the hobby bakers, which they produce in the form of a 3D or motif cake for the judges. The jurors Schliephake-Burchardt and Hümbs decide who has to leave the show at the end of each episode.

New episodes “Celebrities bake privately”

In addition to the new episodes of “Das große Promibacken”, there will also be six new episodes of “Promis bake privat”. Six previous participants in the cake show invite the audience to their home and present their own very special recipes.

Episodes are planned with Désirée Nick (65) on January 12, Jürgen Milski (58) on January 19, Ekaterina Leonova (34) and Melanie Müller (33) on January 26, Thomas Rath (54) and Luca Hänni (27 ) on February 2, Pascal Hens (41) on February 9, as well as the winner of the current “Celebrity Cheese” season and another candidate from the current season (February 16).
