The Big Show: why Laëtitia Milot had to multiply the excuses after the show

Godmother of the Big Show, new entertainment in which Jarry traps the public, the ex-heroine of Plus belle la vie tells the backstage of this adventure broadcast Saturday June 11 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2.

How did you come to this project?

Laetitia Milot: Jarry is someone I really like. I like his universe. He’s creative, talented, so I said yes pretty quickly. What I found original is that the star of the show is the audience. There are plenty of surprises waiting for viewers, games, hidden cameras, traps. It’s an evening filled with good vibes with happiness to eat.

What is your role in The Big Show ?

I am the common thread. Jarry suggested that I come accompanied by the person of my choice. I chose my mother because I suspected that this festive atmosphere would do her some good. It did not miss! We sat next to each other at the Marigny theater and we reacted to surprises. Some were very moving but often it ended in bursts of laughter.

Have you been tricked too?

Sure ! In the early evening, Jarry took my cell phone. He showed a few personal things to the public. I admit that I was a little scared because he came into my privacy but I trusted him. And then, he sent a somewhat strange message to all my contacts. Many took this with humor, but there are those who took it the wrong way. I had to do a little work behind to apologize!

And you, do you like to surprise those around you?

I am Miss Surprise! I make a lot of them for my loved ones, especially for birthdays. For my daughter’s 4th birthday, I totally decorated the house without her knowing it and we took her to Disneyland Paris, keeping it a secret until the end. She loved it! Badri (her husband, editor’s note) too, I like to surprise him.

You have become an emblematic figure of the fight against endometriosis. Where is your fight?

I perform regularly. The next is in Bordeaux, on June 17. There will also be Lori. We have come a long way since the President made it a national cause. We are taken seriously. We hear our pain. I also just made a clip to raise awareness among the younger generation.

Your latest novel Selia (at Plon, editor’s note), is interested in the underside of show business. How do you choose your writing topics?

According to the desire of the moment. There, I dream of writing a thriller, of dealing with a cause that affects me, mental illness. I am very fond of this genre in literature and cinema. It’s a desire I’ve had for a very long time, to confuse the issue and take the reader where he doesn’t expect it.

France 3 has formalized the stopping of More beautiful life where you played Mélanie. A reaction ?

France Télévisions has its reasons which I will not comment on. For me, it’s a wonderful page that turns.

Are you going to play in its last episodes?

I was not contacted to shoot. For me, More beautiful life will forever remain the series that made me known to the public.
