Although the crypto market is currently in a sideways phase, the prices of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Co. are highly volatile. While Bitcoin has ranged between just under $26,000 and $27,400 over the past seven days and is trading at $26,569 at the time of writing, other coins have been more up and down. Below are the altcoin winners of the day.
Arbitrum (ARB): Day win for Layer 2 protocol
Arbitrum is a Layer 2 protocol and aims to make DeFi transactions on Ethereum both fast and cheap. This makes the project a rather unpopular competitor, especially for the blockchains Solana and Avalanche. However, the ARB course is undeterred. In a 24-hour comparison, ARB is up 5.7 percent, trading at $1.16 at the time of writing. The altcoin is a long way from its all-time high of 11.80 US dollars, which Arbitrum reached at the time of the token launch. The jump in price still secures ARB the day’s victory.
Casper (CSPR): Silver Medal for Spooky Token
While Arbitrum (ARB) was able to secure the day’s victory, the tide is turning when looking at the past seven days. ARB recorded growth of 1.6 percent – Casper (CSPR), on the other hand, can look back on 4.85 percent growth. The price increase is also remarkable on a daily basis: 5.06 percent. With that, CSPR is trading at $0.049 at the time of writing. The altcoin reached its all-time high around two years ago at a price of 1.36 US dollars.

Curve DAO tokens (CRV):
After Uniswap, Curve is the second largest decentralized exchange in the Ethereum ecosystem. Like Uniswap, the DeFi protocol offers swaps for blockchain tokens. In contrast to Uniswap, Curve focuses exclusively on swaps for stable trading pairs such as USDT/USDC, DAI/USDT or STETH/ETH.
At press time, the related token CRV is trading at $0.86, up 4.37 percent from 24 hours ago. The altcoin hit its all-time high in mid-August 2020 at $60.50.
