Emulators continue to arrive in droves on iOS, and the latest one is a very big fish. It is in fact RetroArch, an application which actually allows you to emulate around ten of the most popular consoles.
For a little over a month, it has been possible to download emulators directly from the App Store. This doesn’t seem like much if you’re playing on PC or Android, but for iPhone users, it’s nothing less than a small revolution. Indeed, Apple has long prohibited developers from publishing their emulators on the application store. Until the European Union came to add its two cents, under the cover of the DMA.
With the breach now open, several emulators rushed to land on the App Store, starting with Delta, first available on the Altstore. Today, it is perhaps one of the best-known names in emulation that is arriving. It is of course Retroarch, which is rather in reality an application bringing together several emulators. Here is the list of all the consoles that can be emulated with it:

Retroarch is now available on the App Store
RetroArch is particularly appreciated by gamers, particularly for its advanced features. In particular, it is possible to play using an Xbox or PlayStation controller via Bluetooth, which is very useful when playing a PS1 game on your iPhone. Note also that the list of emulated consoles above is not exhaustive and that you should find what you are looking for by looking for more niche machines.
As a reminder, RetroArch found itself at the heart of a controversy last year when Xbox decided without warning to no longer support the application on its Series by rehabilitating the emulator. Enough to have a good idea of its popularity.
