From 95 to 140 kilograms: The plus on the scales didn’t show up overnight, however. The corona pandemic and a knee injury led to a downward spiral from which the actual sports lover did not escape so easily. Months without sport and his role as a father of small children were an additional hurdle, the former TV candidate reveals to “Bild”.

Saki, who has Greek roots, explains to “Bild”: “As a family man, it is difficult to find a balance. Especially if I want to eat healthy, but at the same time allow my family and myself something with sugar or fast food.” However, the finance and insurance broker no longer feels comfortable with this and admits self-critically: “I’m not happy with myself. I’ve made myself comfortable.”

The 45-year-old now wants to break out of this vicious circle and prove himself in a 10 kilometer obstacle course this year. “I’m training for that now because I like extreme sports,” he reports motivatedly. He wants to take his fans with him on his journey on Instagram.
