So far there is no official information about the start of “The Blacklist” season 10. If the crime drama series goes into production in the near future and NBC stays true to its previous release rhythm, then the new episodes could already be available in the Fall or Winter 2022 to start.

“The Blacklist” Season 10: Storyline

Although James Spader has already announced that “The Blacklist” will be continued in another season, there are no further details about the plot so far. However, two years after the death of Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) and the dissolution of the FBI Task Force, the lives of former task force members and Raymond Reddington have been turned upside down.

Finally, the team members revived their original mission and pursued the blacklist criminals to eliminate them for good. But after the Season 9 finale, Red faces a difficult time as his position as an FBI informant has become public knowledge thanks to Marvin Gerard. A few members of the blacklist will find this piquant piece of information anything but pleasant and may therefore seek revenge.

The departure of two long-time characters from the series will also influence the plot of the new season. Now Red and the task force team will have to regroup.

Since James Spader was the first to announce the season 10 sequel to The Blacklist on The Tonight Show, it’s safe to assume he’ll be sure to return in his role as Raymond “Red” Reddington in the new episodes.

Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler, Harry J. Lennix as Harold Cooper and Hisham Tawfiq as Dembe Zuma will probably be back if nothing else is announced to the contrary. John Eisendrath, who acted as showrunner in the 9th season, will probably return to his job for the new episodes.

However, Amir Arison, who has starred as Aram Mojtabi since season one, will not return as a permanent cast member for season 10 of The Blacklist. Aram says goodbye to the series, saying he wants to take some time to himself. At the same time he would like to reorient himself a bit in his career, because he wants to make his theater debut on Broadway soon.

Actress Laura Sohn, in her role as Alina Park, also said goodbye to the series in the final episode of Season 9. Park revealed during the episode that she is pregnant and that may be the source of her worsening headaches. Eventually, the character cited medical reasons as the reason for retiring from active service.

Nevertheless, both characters remain alive and could, at least theoretically, make guest appearances in future episodes of “The Blacklist” or maybe even return permanently. Especially in the case of Arison, those responsible for “The Blacklist” leave the door open and wish that the actor might return for a few special episodes.
