The blockchain nation Liberland goes into the Metaverse

LUKSO founder Fabian Vogelsteller explained at the Blockchance trade fair what is getting in the way of the mass adoption of Web 3.0.

Today, December 2nd, the former Ethereum developer Fabian Vogelsteller presented a solution to make Web 3.0 more accessible to the masses at the Blockchance trade fair, which BTC-ECHO reports live.

“Do people really use the blockchain every day?” Asked the CEO of the blockchain company LUKSO at the beginning of his lecture. “Maybe for trading,” he explained. But according to Vogelsteller there are some problems that make it difficult for the mainstream to use blockchain technology and thus Web 3.0 in everyday life.

“It’s complicated and high-risk,” says Vogelsteller when he speaks of the danger of losing his keys, on which everything depends.

As an “Ethereum veteran”, Vogelsteller is best known for developing the ERC20, a token standard that paved the way for the DeFi world.

The new creative economy in Web 3.0

With LUKSO, the former Ethereum developer has meanwhile launched an industry-specific blockchain that is primarily intended to appeal to the creative scene. The main aim is to further develop blockchain technology beyond the financial sector.

In his lecture, Vogelsteller explained that too many people in the blockchain scene are only working with the means that are already available instead of changing or improving something. The LUKSO network was created to meet a new, creative lifestyle that goes beyond the DeFi use case, says the CEO. This would also tie in well with the metaverse. “We call it all ‘the new creative economy’”, says Vogelsteller.

According to the developer, the further development of token standards plays an important role. “When you create a standard, make it open and unbiased, great things can happen that we see in the blockchain space,” he said. “It can look cool, even though it’s technical,” says the LUKSO founder.
