The body of a naked and barefoot woman found

This Tuesday, June 13, a jogger discovered the lifeless body of a partially naked woman in a field, in Vienne. An investigation has been opened.

On the morning of this Tuesday, June 13, a jogger made a macabre discovery in Migné-Auxances (Vienne), near Poitiers. According to information from Actu 17, he found the lifeless, barefoot body of a 47-year-old woman. The Limoges scientific police swept the scene in search of clues the same day. According to our colleagues from The New Republic, his jogging pants were down ; moreover, traces spotted on the spot indicated that the body had been dragged from the path usually taken by runners and cyclists, down to the field below. A murder investigation has been entrusted to the Poitiers judicial police by the prosecution.

This Thursday, June 15, the public prosecutor of Poitiers, Cyril Lacombe, indicated that the autopsy of the victim had not made it possible to identify the causes of his death. His body did not show signs of manifest violence either, according to our colleagues. On the other hand, the autopsy also did not allow “to exclude the intervention of a third party”. But blood would have been found under the fingernails of the forties residing in Poitiers: for the moment, the investigators do not yet know if it is his or that of a possible attacker whom she would have scratched.

The “blackened” face of the victim

Another disturbing detail: the appearance of his face, described as blackened. It remains to be seen if it is an effect of decomposition, or if it was deliberately damaged. At the moment there is no “of element on a voluntary act which would have caused the coloring of the face”, says the public prosecutor. He also did not speak on the question of possible sexual violence suffered (or not) by the victim. The investigations, conducted by an investigating judge, should shed light on what happened to him.
