Between his disappearance on the night of January 27, 1976 and the day of December 8, 2021, the mystery remained unresolved. Newsweek and CNN revealed that Kyle Clinkscales’ car, wallet and ID card, along with human remains, were found at the bottom of an Alabama stream. The Auburn University student, 22 years old at the time of the incident, was last seen returning to campus in his 1974 Ford Pinto. He had never arrived at his destination and had never arrived. no longer given any sign of life. “For 45 years we’ve been looking for Kyle and his car. We’ve followed hundreds of leads and never really developed anything substantive from those leads.Sheriff James Woodruff said at the press conference, recalling that lakes had previously been drained.
The discovery of the partially submerged vehicle was made possible by an anonymous call indicating that it saw an automobile off a stream, located along County Road 83 and near the town of Cusseta. The location of the drama is located 20 miles from Kyle Clinkscales’ former home in LaGrange (a city in the state of Georgia, bordering Alabama).
