  • The objective of the device

Faced with inflation, the Association for the management of the fund for the professional integration of disabled people (Agefiph) has decided to increase several of its aids since 1er September 2022.

To counter the difficulties of these people to get a job, remember that all companies with twenty or more employees are obliged to hire employees with disabilities, up to 6% of the workforce, since the law of July 10, 1987. Failing this, they are required to pay financial compensation to Agefiph.

In order to compensate for any additional costs associated with hiring a worker with a disability, several financial aids managed by this organization exist.

The employer of a person affected by the obligation to employ disabled workers (OETH), or whose application is in progress, on a permanent contract or fixed-term contract for a minimum of six months, first has the possibility of benefiting from financial assistance for the reception, integration and professional development of the employee.

This lump-sum aid is used, for example, to finance a program to raise employee awareness of the disability of their new colleague, support for the manager in taking into account his difficulties or even a tutor to help him take up his duties. Since 1er September, its amount increased from 3,000 to 3,150 euros.

This aid is prescribed by Pôle emploi, Cap emploi, a local Mission, or Agefiph, after examination of the file. It can be mobilized upstream of recruitment or within nine months of taking up the position. In order to benefit from this system, the employer must define an “action plan” specifying the measures put in place: this assumes that he has already identified the person to be recruited before submitting his aid application file. He has every interest in getting closer to Agefiph before recruitment.

Paid on an ad hoc basis, this aid is renewable once, possibly more in the event of needs that arise during the contract. The weekly working time of the recruited person must be at least twenty-four hours (sixteen hours in the event of a legal or contractual derogation).
