"The Boss Baby: Family Business" should actually start in March 2021. Now the theatrical release has been postponed by six months.

The corona-related closings of movie theaters and production delays will also result in film releases being postponed in 2021. Next, fans of the animated hit "The Boss Baby" from 2017 have to be patient. As reported by the industry magazine "The Hollywood Reporter", Universal Pictures announced that the DreamWorks sequel "The Boss Baby: Family Business" will not start until September 2021 – six months later than planned.

In the US original version of "The Boss Baby", Hollywood star Alec Baldwin (62, "30 Rock") sets the hardened baby to music. The voices of his parents speak "Friends" actress Lisa Kudrow (57) and late-night talker Jimmy Kimmel (53). All three are back on board in the sequel. New to the line-up are James Marsden (47, "27 Dresses"), Eva Longoria (45, "Desperate Housewives") and Jeff Goldblum (68, "Jurassic Park").

New animated film "Bad Guys" has to give way

Originally, on the day of the now updated theatrical release of "The Boss Baby: Family Business", another film from DreamWorks Animation, "Bad Guys", was supposed to start. Its theatrical release has now been postponed to 2022. An exact date will be announced in the coming weeks.
