The Boys, season 3: Karl Urban provides details on the superpowers of Billy Butcher

In an interview with the American site EW.com, Karl Urban provided some details on the superpowers that his character, Billy Butcher, will have in season 3 of “The Boys”.

In the trailer unveiled in mid-March, fans of the series could notice that Billy Butcher – who hates the superheroes of the Vought International company from the bottom of his being – was going to develop the ability to send lasers with his eyes, as well as superhuman strength. Powers that will divide within his own team, and which will pose a fundamental problem for his character.

“That’s the dilemma: Does Butcher become a superhero or a supervillain? To defeat the monster, do you have to become one? And I think one of the most interesting things about this season is that every character is faced with that choice. How far are they willing to go? What line are they willing to cross to get what they want? For all the characters on the show, it creates conflict, and it’s fun to see who ends up on which side,” he told the site. EW.com.

Fans of The Boys know that Billy Butcher can be impulsive and short-tempered, and are entitled to wonder if these traits coupled with his newfound powers might pose serious problems in their fight against Vought International. As a reminder, season 3 will begin its broadcast on June 3 on Amazon Prime Video.
