The brilliant series Gangs of London is coming (very) soon on Canal+

You are a fan of Peaky Blinders ? SO Gangs of London will undoubtedly be your future favorite series. You’re in luck, the first season of the British series arrives at the end of May on Canal+ and its myCanal streaming platform.

Composed of two seasons of nine episodes each, broadcast since 2020 across the Channel, the series Gangs of London will finally be available to French viewers with the first two episodes of its season 1 on Canal+ from May 29.

This dive into the heart of London crime follows the young Sean Wallace, his father’s designated successor, for twenty years the most powerful criminal in the British capital. But his takeover will soon cause a stir in the world of international organized crime.

Violent, brutal, visually stunning, the series Gangs of London owes much of its energy and uncompromising tone to its co-creators, Matt Flannery and Gareth Evans. The duo had already shaken up the small world of action films in 2011 with the thunderous The Raidthen its sequel three years later.

Beyond its impressive action scenes, it is especially the complex characters that hook us in Gangs of London. As such, the series has a cast of real “mouths”: Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders), Michelle Fairley (Game Of Thrones), Sope Dirisu (At the crossroads of worlds), Lucian Msamati (Spectacular turn of events) and Brian Vernel (The Last Kingdom).

If season 2, released at the end of 2022 in Great Britain, marked a drop in quality, Gangs of London remains a must-have series. A season 3 is already in preparation.
