Britney Spears is still under her father’s tutelage. Fans are said to have even sent death threats to the judge.

For years, fans of Britney Spears (39) with the movement #FreeBritney have been demanding that the singer be freed from the guardianship of her father. Some are now apparently doing this with funds that the Los Angeles police have called on the plan. The judge responsible in the process, Brenda Penny, is said to have received numerous death threats from fanatical supporters of the star. This is reported by the American website “TMZ”.

Penny had made herself unpopular with many fans in the past week with her decision, according to which father Jamie Spears (69) will not be withdrawn from guardianship as soon as possible. Britney Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart had filed a motion to bring forward a hearing scheduled for September.

Disenfranchised for 13 years

The rationale for this step was stated: “Although a two-month wait for a hearing in the context of 13 years may not seem meaningful in the context of the application, Ms. Spears should not be forced to continue feeling traumatized, unable to sleep, and on to suffer.” According to “TMZ”, the judge did not see enough evidence to initiate a move forward and immediate release.

Spears was incapacitated in 2008 and her father, Jamie, was used as a guardian at the time. The 39-year-old has been fighting against this guardianship for some time. Her election of a new lawyer had been approved in July. Rosengart then officially submitted an application to replace the singer’s father as financial guardian.
