Jha, the Butcher of Delhi, skinned, dismembered and decapitated his victims before exposing them to prison. The man has been sentenced to life imprisonment since 2013.

Indian Predator: the Butcher of Delhi is available on Netflix since July. According to those who have saw the documentary series directed by the Indian Ayesha Shood and the critics, it is one of the most terrifying stories known to date. Chandrakant Jha, nicknamed the delhi butcher and his crimes went unnoticed though these are among the most horrible. The psychopath, originally from Bihar and who worked there as a peddler in Azadpur Mandi, dismembered his victims before showing them outside Tihar prison.

Jha killed his first victim in 1998. He left his victim’s body mutilated and decapitated outside the jail while leaving a little chilling note for managers. The Butcher of Delhi left a message urging the authorities to catch him in time otherwise, he will continue to make other victims. Jha is arrested for this first murder and only remains in prison until 2002, lack of sufficient evidence. Until 2013, his last arrest, the Butcher of Delhi made 17 other victims.

‘Invisible’ serial killer on parole

What pushed me to make this docu-series is the fact thatit was an invisible man who preyed on invisible people and that, therefore, these murders passed almost unnoticed“said Ayesha Shood, the director of the hit docuseries on Netflix during an interview with Zoom. She refers to the fact that no one, not even her before making this docuseries for Netflix, had never heard of Jha and its horrible crimes. As a reminder, Jha’s victims are all destitute people, pariahs of society, with whom he first established a relationship of trust before killing them. According to the docu-series, the Butcher of Delhi is currently on parole.
