The CAC 40 .FCHI crossed the threshold of 8,000 points on Thursday for the first time, supported by announcements from the European Central Bank (ECB), which took a first step towards a reduction in the cost of credit by affirming that inflation was slowing down faster than expected a few months ago.
At 1:57 p.m. GMT, the flagship index of the Paris Stock Exchange increased by 0.69% to 8,009.55 points
