PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The Parisian equity market is expected to open lower on Tuesday, still weighed down by concerns about the deterioration in the global economy, while investors await the publication of the provisional PMI indices in the euro zone. for the month of August.

Around 8:20 a.m., the futures contract on the CAC 40 index lost 26 points, or 0.4%, according to data from broker IG.

For France, the provisional PMI indices for August will be published at 9:15 am. Economists polled by the Wall Street Journal expect the manufacturing sector index to decline to 49 from 49.5 in July. They predict a slight decline in the services index, to 53 from 53.2.

The PMI indices for the entire euro zone will be published at 10:00 am.

Caution should also remain in order ahead of Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s speech on Friday at the Jackson Hole symposium.

On the business side, Ocean Winds, the equal-share joint venture created by energy company Engie and its Portuguese counterpart EDP Renewable (EDPR), has won a tender for the construction and operation of two new wind power sites. offshore with a total capacity of 2.3 gigawatts east of the Shetland Islands in Scotland.
