
Phew of relief for many travelers having train tickets for this first weekend of the end of the year holidays. The CGT-Cheminots and SUD-Rail unions on Thursday, December 16 lifted their call for a strike, scheduled from Friday on the TGV Sud-Est line.
On Wednesday, the management announced the failure of negotiations concerning the improvement of working conditions, hiring to compensate for a shortage of staff, wage increases and “A Covid bonus”. In the evening, however, one of the unions, the railway UNSA, had announced “To leave the strike” of the TGV South-East axis, after having received the “Statement of the conclusions of the negotiations”. From “Significant advances” for this union, in particular premium increases.
