The Callisto Protocol: A Season Pass with an additional difficulty mode, death animations and a new game mode

Season Passes, we are used to seeing them for almost all the big games of the moment, even if we still have a hard time accepting them for single-player games, which should more often take their cue from games like God of War Ragnarok and its lack of DLC. The Callisto Protocol has obviously succumbed to the paid pass fashion, and the content of the latter has just been clarified, with unpleasant surprises.

A very difficult mode hidden behind paid content?

As one might expect, this Season Pass will give access to a new adventure that will allow you to explore this universe a little more, according to the game’s Steam page. Nothing really surprising here, and that’s probably the main attraction of this Season Pass. In the same kind of usual bonuses for a DLC, an “Outer Way” armor will also be included in the lot.

On the other hand, we are a little more skeptical of the rest of the content of the pass, which gives access to an additional difficulty mode., with limited ammunition. Not to mention the new death animations for the protagonist, just like for the enemies. We’re more used to seeing this kind of thing happen via free updates, but we’ll have to get the blue card out here.

A new game mode is also hidden in this Season Pass, with the Riot modewhich will ask you to defeat several waves of enemies by upgrading your weapons as you go.

The Callisto Protocol is released on December 2 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
