This Wednesday on CNews, Pascal Praud reacted to Marine Le Pen’s remarks about the journalists of Daily Life, whom the candidate refused to accredit for her press conferences.
This Wednesday, in L’heure des pros, Pascal Praud returned to the rather acerbic response from Marine Le Pen, who had called Daily “entertaining” to justify its refusal to accredit its journalists during its meetings. The host of CNews was careful not to defend his colleagues. “Let’s face it, Marine Le Pen is a target and Quotidien is the good side!“, commented Pascal Praud before adding, about the candidate: “It’s also his right not to want to talk to everyone!“. If the host of L’heure des pros recognized that the Quotidien teams were indeed journalists, contrary to what the head RN said, he however added that they were “anti-Marine Le Pen activists“.”They sometimes do it with dishonesty, we are sometimes the targets, they do it with sentences that are taken out of context (…) This dishonesty, I hope we don’t have it here on our set!“, he launched.
Daily: an “entertainer” according to Marine Le Pen
As a reminder, Tuesday April 12, during a press conference she held in Eure, Marine Le Pen declared that there was “no journalists at Quotidien“, after being questioned about the absence of Yann Barthès’ team at its HQ on Sunday evening, during the first round. “Daily is not a news or journalist program. Daily, he’s an entertainer. Sometimes very funny indeed, I do not say!“, she launched before adding: “there are so many people to accredit that we prefer to accredit journalists rather than entertainment programs“. A response that made a Liberation journalist present on the spot react. “It is you madam who decides who is a journalist or not?, asked the latter. A question to which Marine Le Pen, without the slightest hesitation, answered in the affirmative.
