As reported, a large fire brigade had to move out on Wednesday for a major fire in a corn drying plant in Hartl, Fürstenfeld district. The cause of the fire is now clear: a defect in the cone cleaner. The amount of damage is enormous: 200,000 euros!
The consequences of the fire on Wednesday were dramatic: the so-called tower of the maize drying plant and parts of the attached hall were completely destroyed by the flames, the amount of the damage is estimated at 200,000 euros.
The cause of the fire first had to be investigated, now there are the results of the investigation: A defect in the cone cleaner should have been the starting point. This cleaner is powered by a motor and separates the harvested maize from residues.
