While all eyes were on the Nintendo Direct broadcast last night, Square Enix formalized on the sidelines of the event The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, a live-action puzzle adventure game. Designed by the teams behind the Netflix series The Naked Director and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain within studio hand Inc., it will be released May 12 on PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
A hundred-year family investigation
Directed by Koichiro Ito (Metal Gear Solid V), produced by Junichi Ehera (NieR Automata) and scripted by Yasuhito Tachibana (The Naked Director), the title will offer players the opportunity to embody the author of detective novels Haruka Kagami. Using your powers of deduction, you will have to uncover the truth behind four murders that have affected the Shijima family over the past hundred years.
Note that those who will pre-order the game by May 19 will have access to additional content such as the official making-of of the production and the mini soundtrack composed by Yuki Hayashi (Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai), Daiki Okuno, Ryoshi Takagi, Shuichiro Fukuhiro and Shogo Yamashiro.
