Apple is quietly removing the cheapest plan from its Apple Music audio streaming service. Launched barely two years ago, Apple Music Voice clearly failed to convince users.
There is not only Spotify Or Deezer in life there is Apple Music Also. The audio streaming service may be lagging behind on certain basic features among its competitors, but it has the merit of simplifying things if you have an iPhone and want to avoid the proliferation of third-party services. In addition to the classic subscriptions Individual And Family, Apple launched the Apple Music Voice plan in 2021, the cheapest at €4.99 per month. His particuliarity ? Everything goes through Sirior almost.
In use, having to use thevoice assistant was more of a constraint than anything else. For example, impossible to manually start a songor not more than 30 seconds. You have to ask Siri to do it. If you like music other than French and you have an English, Spanish or other accent to cut with a knife, good luck making yourself understood. Fortunately, reading can be controlled by hand. These limitations, among others, ultimately got the better of Apple Music Voice.
The Apple Music Voice plan for the Apple Music service no longer exists
Apple announces that starting this month, the Apple Music Voice formula no longer exists. If you are subscribed to it, auto-renewal is canceled and you can enjoy it until the end of the current period. After that, you are forced to switch to another subscriptionknowing that apart from the student rate at €5.99/monthit will cost you at least €10.99 monthly. Apple does not clearly explain why its cheapest offer is disappearing. We can nevertheless assume that it did not meet with the expected success.

Others will say that having escaped the recent increase in prices for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple One, we had to find a way to make users pay more for Apple Music, even artificially. Nothing says that the service will not also experience a price increase in the short or medium term, however.
