Did you know ? The central subject being that Greg’s parents are not presentable, Philippe Lacheau imagined that his mother was an icon of charm of the 80s & 90s. Their reference was Sylvia Kristel, the famous star of Emmanuelle.

Trapped, the residents try to organize themselves…

Did you know ? It is the supernatural dimension caused by confinement that gave Guillaume Nicloux the starting point for the story of La Tour. “Totally instinctively, I drew on the apprehension of confinement and the resurgence of an infantile fear, that of total darkness”, he specifies.

For France by Rachid Hami

With Karim Leklou, Shain Boumedine, Lubna Azabal…

Did you know ? Pour la France is based on a painful intimate episode in the family history of Rachid Hami: the death of his little brother, Jallal Hami, following the organization of a trip imitating the landing in Provence in extreme conditions, at the Special Military School of Saint-Cyr, in October 2012.

Did you know ? To understand the job, Philippe Petit had to get closer to landscapers. The filmmaker was thus accompanied by the Coloco collective, close to Gilles Clément, the creator of the “garden in movement”. He also met the botanist Patrick Blanc, who designs plant walls in Paris.

To motivate them and make them dream, Alain, their teacher, organizes a surprising and perilous outing in the bowels of a glacier. The teenagers then discover a world of ice of breathtaking beauty.

Did you know ? Stéphane Cazes reviewed The Circle of Dead Poets. The director wanted to make Alain a man just as surprising, but less perfect, than Professor Keating played by Robin Williams. “By adding gray areas and a part of mystery, we quickly understand that this former Olympic coach teaches students from SEGPA for a hidden reason, and that he experienced a tragedy”, he specifies.

Emmett Till from Chinonye Chukwu

What is it about ? A young widow raising her 14-year-old son alone, Mamie Till-Mobley is also the only black woman working for the US Air Force in Chicago. Did you know ? The film was born from the desire to reflect on the violence exercised by the strongest on the weakest, on the illusion of power that invades all aspects of society. Reflect on the loss of innocence, where it occurs and why. But the most significant desire was to reflect on fear and how it conditions us. How it transforms us and distorts reality.
