Twins but not too many by Olivier Ducray, Wilfried Meance

What is it about ? 33 years after their birth, two twin brothers suddenly discover the existence of each other… For Grégoire and Anthony, the surprise is all the greater since one is white, the other black! But their skin color is far from the only thing that differentiates them!

Did you know ? The original idea comes from an article that producer Jérôme Corcos had read, explaining that there is a one in a million chance of giving birth to twins with different skin colors. Director Olivier Ducray explains:

“An extremely rare phenomenon! So we started from there with my co-screenwriter Jean-Paul Bathany and we then imagined the story of two twin brothers – one black, the other white – who do not know each other and who meet at the age of 33.”

What is it about ? Maria is a cleaning lady. Married for 25 years, reserved, shy and clumsy, she never leaves her flowery notebook in which she writes poems in secret. Smile by Parker Finn

What is it about ? After witnessing a traumatic incident involving one of her patients, psychiatrist Rose Cotter’s life takes a turn for the worse. Overwhelmed by a mysterious force, Rose will have to confront her past in an attempt to survive…

Did you know ? Smile is inspired by the short film Laura Hasn’t Slept that Parker Finn directed in 2020 and which tells the story of a psychiatrist facing events as terrifying as they are unexplained after a strange meeting with a patient.

If the theme of the film has its source in the short film, the director wanted to explore, with Smile, what would happen if our brain turned against ourselves through various and nightmarish processes.

The Sixth Child by Léopold Legrand

With Sara Giraudeau, Benjamin Lavernhe, Judith Chemla…

What is it about ? Franck, a scrap dealer, and Meriem have five children, a sixth on the way, and serious money problems. Julien and Anna are lawyers and can’t have children. This is the story of an unthinkable arrangement. The Sixth Child is adapted from the novel Crying Rivers written by Alain Jaspard.

Did you know ? Director Léopold Legrand, who was legally adopted by his father’s new wife after his mother’s death (when he was six), recalls:

“This woman became my second mother. So I grew up with a double maternal figure. The story of these two women gathered around one and the same child therefore intrigued me. When closing the novel, I was very moved by the trajectories of Meriem and Anna.”

Holidays by Béatrice de Staël, Léo Wolfenstein

With Géraldine Nakache, Andranic Manet, Béatrice de Staël…

What is it about ? For the first time, Marie is spending holidays alone with her children, without her husband. One evening, lost, she lets herself be seduced by a strange and fascinating young man who slowly lures her into his trap. Then begins for her a night that turns into a nightmare…

Did you know ? The attractive aggressor is played by Andranic Manet. Béatrice de Staël discovered it in Mes Provinciales by Jean-Paul Civeyrac. The filmmaker immediately thought he would be perfect to camp Martin. She specifies:

“Andranic has the beauty of the devil. I find him very different from other young French actors who look like teenagers, whereas Andranic has a very masculine, very mature side. At the same time, he is very gentle and very naive. And he too can have very serious sides. It all worked very well for the film.”

Poppy Field by Eugen Jebeleanu

What is it about ? A secretly homosexual Romanian policeman is called to intervene in a session of an LGBT film disturbed by fundamentalist Catholics.
