The circular economy, a solution of the future for Africa?

Extracting, producing, consuming and throwing away is our daily life. But imagine that what we produce can be reused efficiently to produce again, while reducing waste and environmental impact. Faced with the limitation of the planet’s resources, this alternative model is developing and is called the “circular economy”. As opposed to the “linear” economy that we know.

What place for this economy on the African continent? How to put it in place and convince the populations? This special program tries to answer these questions thanks to two specialists in set, Jocelyne Landry Tsonang and Edouard Yao, representatives of the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN) for Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon. In the report, two concrete examples of circular economy in Namibia and South Africa as well as testimonials from entrepreneurs who have implemented it.
