As a preventive measure, as part of the work on a rainwater management structure, the municipality of Nice issued an order on Thursday to prohibit swimming in the body of water at Carras beach, south of the Promenade des Anglais. .

A measure which came into force this Friday morning at 5 a.m. and which will be maintained “until the end of construction”, indicates the City in a press release. However, it is not known when the work will be completed.

“The municipal and metropolitan technical services and the municipal police will carry out the necessary marking and ensure the safety of the public during the period of prohibition of access”the statement said.
