The comeback of the year: Karl Klammer suddenly appears in a cult game

Many Microsoft Office users should still know him: Karl Klammer, also known as Clippy in the original English. Curiously, the helpful paperclip has now apparently appeared in the latest installment in the Halo series.

An absolute Microsoft icon is making an unexpected comeback. As the colleagues from “The Verge” discovered, Karl Klammer, also known outside of Germany as Clippy, has appeared in the new shooter “Halo Infinite”. As a result, the helpful paper clip can be unlocked in the game immediately.

Karl can be used as a profile picture and as a “gun charm”. At the same time, users on Twitter and Co. report that the Windows veteran can also be sprayed on various objects in Halo Infinite.

Karl Klammer appears in the Halo series – not for the first time

By the way, the paper clip is still anonymous in the shooter. His name here is neither Karl Klammer nor Clippy, but “The Clipster”. As TheVerge suspects, this should be a “cooler version” of Microsoft’s helper. Alternatively, it is also conceivable that it could be a compound name of Clippy and Hipster.

Incidentally, the appearance of Karl Klammer in a Halo game is not entirely new: gamers had already discovered the character in “Halo 5” in 2015.
