“The Conners” are growing: two actresses from previous seasons return, the star of another series is playing a guest role.

The US sitcom “The Conners” is getting reinforcements: the actresses Danielle Harris (43, “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood”) and Candice Bergen (74, “Sex and the City”) are each returning for a short guest appearance Series back. Candice Bergen made her “The Conners” debut as Ben’s (Jay R. Ferguson, 46) mother Barb earlier this season. Although, like the working class Conner family, she also lives in the fictional town of Lanford, Illinois, Barb has “an arrogant manner and a sharp tongue that becomes much more pleasant after she has had a few drinks.” She will return to the series for two more episodes, according to the announcement.

A dropout as a newcomer

Brian Austin Green is the “Conners” newbie. In two upcoming episodes he will appear as Jeff, a “quirky, free-spirited traveler who lives in his van”.

“The Conners” returned to ABC for season three last fall. In addition to Sara Gilbert, who is also a co-producer, the series also features “Roseanne” old stars John Goodman (65), Laurie Metcalf (65), Alicia “Lecy” Goranson (46) and Michael Fishman (39) and their newer colleagues Emma Kenney, 21, Ames McNamara, 13, Jayden Rey, and Jay R.
