(Boursier.com) — Very nice achievement by Air France-KLM, associated with its partner Delta Air Lines and the American investment company Certares Management. Following a tender procedure managed by the Italian Treasury, the Italian government chose this trio to enter into exclusive negotiations for a majority stake in ITA Airways, the successor to Alitalia. The Franco-Dutch group and its partners were preferred to the consortium comprising the container transport giant MSC Mediterranean Shipping and Lufthansa, which was given the favourite.
