While waiting for the return (a little vague) of rick and morty, Dan Harmon has been busy. In a few weeks will arrive Strange Planethis new animated series, here are the first details.

A best-selling adaptation for Apple TV+
After season 6 of rick and morty and before the movie Community, Dan Harmon has a little something for his fans. It is the anime series adaptation of the best-selling and acclaimed graphic novel Strange Planet. Author Nathan W. Pyle (who also worked on the film Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro) will also be co-created. A sure pledge that the original material, launched in 2019 in the form of a webcomic, should be respected.
As usual, Apple TV+ has chosen to broadcast one episode per week, unlike Netflix for example. See you from August 9 for the first of ten episodes, and for an end of broadcast on September 27.

Strange Planet is a series that wants to be hilarious and enlightened “. It takes place in a strange universe where blue beings, not so far from us, explore the absurdity of everyday human habits. On the casting side in English, Tunde Adebimpe (Rachel is getting married), Half Adejuyigbe (The Amber Ruffin Show), Lori Tan Chinn (Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens), Danny Pudi (Community) or even Hannah Einbinder (hacks) will be there. Despite the broadcast being close, Apple TV+ doesn’t have a trailer to show just yet.
Regarding season 7 of rick and morty, things must be complex at Adult Swim right now. For the record, the co-creator of the series with Dan Harmon, namely Justin Roiland, was thanked by the chain last January following his setbacks with justice. The man was accused, then cleared in March, of domestic violence and kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend. Between this affair and the scriptwriters’ strike, it is difficult to know where production is currently at.
