Yosuke Saito is now a producer of Dragon Quest at the house of Square Enixbut he is best known for producing the Denygames made by Yoko Taro with music composed by Keiichi Okabe. It’s hard to say what the three men are planning, but Yosuke Saito had fun teasing the fans.
In an interview given to Weekly Family, Yosuke Saito declares that he is working on a new video game with Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe. A game Deny ? Not necessarily, the Japanese leaves doubt:
I’ve been talking about wanting to do something with Yoko and Okabe for a while. I’ll have something a little more specific to say in the not too distant future, so stay tuned. It might be NieR, it might not be NieR. That’s about all I can say for now.
Concerning his other current projects, he adds:
I do various things with the idea of creating something that doesn’t exist yet. I can’t fully devote my time to it, so most of it has been left to the staff, but it’s becoming something quite interesting. I look forward to the day we can announce it.
Franchise Deny experienced highs (eight million copies sold for NieR: Automata) and stockings (NieR Re[in]skin tone was quickly abandoned on mobiles), but it still remains very popular with fans, who obviously won’t say no to a new opus. We will still have to wait to find out what Saito, Taro and Okabe have in store for us.
