The drag queens and burlesque artists from the show “Extravagantes” are back on Paris Première for a special cinema show. Big Bertha, new creature of the night to join the cast of the program, explains to the microphone of Europe 1 what awaits viewers on Tuesday evening.
The Paris Première cabaret is reopening its doors. The show Extravagant and these five creatures of the night, drag queens and burlesque artists, return to service on Tuesday evening in this program where they receive a guest and take him into their universe, with songs, performances and interviews. This month, the show has two new features: a public shoot and the arrival of drag queen La Big Bertha, a specialist in burlesque stripping.
The artist immediately agreed to join the show, for the other artists she adores, but also for the opportunity to introduce her universe to a larger audience. “It’s really a little bubble apart that we have very rarely seen. Thanks to this show, we enter all homes and we discover another universe and another facet of the cabaret world. It’s very important to precisely show our talents, our pleasures and above all our follies”, she rejoices at the microphone of Europe 1. “The message is ‘Come, do not be afraid, we will take you by the hand and we will embark for 1h30 to forget your worries. Have fun!'”.
“We couldn’t have dreamed of a better guest”
The Big Bertha revisits the song in its own way Recipe for a love cake from the movie Donkey Skin. She appears from the start of the show on the arm of director Claude Lelouch, guest for this special cinema. “First show, I welcome Claude Lelouch, I give him my arm. And there I’m shaking!” La Big Bertha laughs. “I tell myself that it’s an honor to have Claude Lelouch among us on this show, the theme of which is cinema. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better guest than him on this theme. He blended into our universe, he was benevolent, smiling. It was really a great pleasure to receive this great gentleman.”
Among the highlights of the show, Claude Lelouch started filming the creatures himself with his iPhone, then Elsa Zylberstein comes to pay him a surprise visit. The actress then pushes the song, Dalida in particular. Fresh, joyful and funny, the program changes from the classic promotion shows. Extravagant can be seen Tuesday evening at 10:45 p.m. on Paris Première.
