Directed by Alex Proyas (Dark City), the first adaptation from 1994 enjoyed macabre popularity mainly thanks to the death, during filming, of its star Brandon Lee, accidentally killed by a revolver loaded with blanks. Over the decades, the film has created a community of fans.
Stuck in development hell for over 15 years, this The Crow new version intends to start from scratch, and presents itself as a reboot of the franchise, after three films and a series released in the 1990s and 2000s, and which went relatively unnoticed.
Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Hunter) and written by Zach Baylin (Bob Marley: One Love) and William Josef Schneider, The Crow promises to be even darker and more violent than the original film.
Alongside Bill Skarsgård (That), we find the Frenchman Sami Bouajila (Robbers, Native), Danny Huston (The Sons of Man) and singer FKA Twigs.
The Crow will be released in cinemas on June 5, 2024.
