The Crown: does Dominic West play the unfaithful Prince Charles?

In season five of "The Crown", the affair between Charles and Camilla is discussed. Is Dominic West playing the unfaithful husband?

Dominic West (51) is said to play the unfaithful Prince Charles in the last two seasons of "The Crown". This is what the British tabloid "The Sun" claims. The married West is making headlines himself after photos from Rome appeared, in which he apparently kisses Lily James (31). He then appeared in public with his wife Catherine Fitzgerald (49). Now the actor, who is known among other things for the series "The Affair", could play Prince Charles during the time when he was having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

The "Sun" quotes an insider: "This will be a prestigious casting for Dominic. But the irony in it does not escape anyone." According to the report, those responsible for "The Crown" looked at several stars for the role of Charles, West was by far their preferred actor. The deal is said to be nearing completion. Princess Diana is played by Elizabeth Debicki, 30, in seasons five and six. Season four of "The Crown" will air on Netflix November 15th. The young Diana is portrayed by Emma Corrin (24), Prince Charles by Josh O'Connor (30).

West showed up with his wife

Charles' father, Prince Philip, was played in the first two seasons of "The Crown" by Matt Smith, 37, an ex-boyfriend of Lily James. Dominic West, who is in front of the camera with James for a BBC drama, had responded to the rumors of an alleged set affair with his colleague by sending photos to the press of the actor closely embracing his wife Catherine FitzGerald show in front of their home in the English county of Wiltshire. "Our marriage is strong and we are definitely still together," the couple announced. Dominic West and the landscape architect have been married since 2010. The couple have four children together.
