Olivia Williams plays Camilla Parker Bowles in the fifth season of the Netflix series “The Crown”. Prince Charles is played by Dominic West.

British actress Olivia Williams (52) will play Camilla Parker Bowles, now Duchess Camilla of Cornwall (73), in the upcoming fifth season of the Netflix hit “The Crown”. Actor Dominic West (51) will be seen as Prince Charles (72). The new season tells of the explosive time before and after Princess Diana’s accidental death in the summer of 1997.

As the British “Daily Mail” reports, Olivia Williams shot a so-called “chemistry test” with Dominic West before she was offered the role. The aim was to find out if they fit together on screen, because their relationship was “at the heart of the drama”.

Olivia Williams and the “Royal Family”

Williams and West take on the roles of Emerald Fennell, 35, who won an Oscar a few days ago for her film “Promising Young Woman”, and Josh O’Connor, 30, who played Camilla and Charles in the last two seasons of the award-winning Netflix Series played. The two newcomers will join the rest of the “royal family”, including Imelda Staunton (65) as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce (73) as the Duke of Edinburgh, Lesley Manville (65) as Princess Margaret and Elizabeth Debicki (30 ) as Princess Diana.

The fifth season of “The Crown” will be shown on Netflix in 2022. With the sixth season, it should be completed in 2023.
