Crucial continues to renew its SSD offer with the MX500s which succeed the MX300s – the impasse therefore being made on the MX400s. The MX300s introduced the use of the first generation of 3D memory from Micron, parent company of Crucial, with a rather lackluster result. The MX500 series is therefore there to restore the image of Crucial’s high-end offer. To achieve this, the firm uses a second generation of 3D NAND memory, still in TLC.
