The excellent Dino Crisis by Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) finally ready to return after more than 20 years of absence? A request from Capcom may reveal the publisher’s plans.
In 1996, Shinji Mikami established himself in the video game landscape with Resident Evil. An absolutely cult survival horror for several reasons. And yes, the kitschy intro is one of them. But the Japanese developer is also known for immediately launching Dino Crisis. A game where elite soldiers land on an island after trouble in a scientific center hidden on an island. There, they will face not zombies, but dinosaurs who are dying to swallow the agents. When RE meets Jurassic Park.
A new Dino Crisis game in development? It depends…
If the two suites are largely dispensable, Dino Crisis is one of those games from our childhood that we would love to see again, and yours truly is not an isolated case. Regularly, the name of the franchise comes up in player discussions, but nothing happens. However, after the enormous success of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 4 Remake, such a comeback no longer seems so unthinkable. And even less so with this ongoing survey from Capcom.
Through the “Capcom Super Elections” which asks 10 questions to fans of the publisher, players can vote for the licenses that they would like to revisit as part of a sequel or a new game. Among the franchises , there is Resident Evil (what a surprise!), Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry or even… Dino Crisis! Just seeing the name brings comfort to our little hearts.
So when is the new Dino Crisis game? There is no point in getting carried away too quickly, because the enthusiasm may not be enough and the saga would then be doomed. Deathground and Jurassic Park Survival alternatives

A game announced in 2023 and which is already on our wish list. According to journalist Jeff Grubb, it will be very close to a survival horror and cites Alien Isolation as a reference. Enough to increase the hype around a title that is still very discreet.
