The German studio YAGER, to whom we owe, in particular, the excellent Spec Ops: The Line, just shared the release date for The Cycle, a tactical FPS mixing PvP and PvE. In the latter, players are immersed in Fortuna III, an abandoned planet populated by alien creatures. They will have to survive, collect various resources and escape, a bit like Escape from Tarkov. Simple in fact, but complicated by the presence of other players, in addition to other events specific to the planet.
This release will be done through the preseason, from the goal of June. Wednesday, June 8 to be more precise. Everything will, of course, be available for free on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Season 1 will arrive a few days later, given that it will be available from June 22. This will allow the developers to correct some problems that may have slipped in during the release of The Cycle. Several in-game rewards and cosmetic items will accompany this first season.
Many people should give The Cycle a try, as the beta attracted 900,000 unique players.. The fact that it is available for free will greatly help the community to grow, provided the experience is worth it. At the time, PvE was the most popular, which could perhaps frustrate those looking for thrills, facing other players. See you on June 8 to see what has changed since then.
