A 15 year old pupil crashed into a train and was fatally injured. The girl rode her bike over a level crossing in Monday evening Rheda-Wiedenbrück in the Gütersloh district. According to the police, a passing railcar hit the cyclist head-on. The student was so badly injured that she died at the scene of the accident.
The level crossing in Rheda-Wiedenbrück is secured by barriers for the flowing traffic. The pedestrian walkway is not restricted.
