Would you give your body to research? Maybe with this experiment. All you need is 59 days and the ability to lie around very easily: The German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne is looking for participants for one Bed rest study in collaboration with the US space agency NASA. The aim is to research health aspects in future missions to the moon and Mars, as the DLR reports. For two study campaigns in 2020 Men and women between the ages of 24 and 55 searched.

There are, however a couple of hooks: On the one hand, the test persons are put in bed in single rooms in order to bring about the effects of weightlessness on the body and therefore the Beds tilted six degrees towards the head. The other is getting up prohibited: The test persons stay in bed for 30 days and complete a lot of experiments on their very special bed mission and of course all everyday business such as eating, showering, working, chatting, surfing the Internet – and probably also the "small and big business"? The press release says nothing about that, but something about one hefty allowance: 11,000 euros for everyone who can hold out the 59 days.
