Navalny: My killer confessed
It was four months since the poison attack on Alexei Navalny. Now the most famous Kremlin critic claims to have found someone to blame for the attempted murder. Under the title "I called my killer. He confessed"Navalny published a recording of a telephone conversation with a suspected agent of the Russian domestic secret service FSB on YouTube. The latter is said to have admitted the attack on him.
According to "Spiegel" information, Nalwany pretended to be an employee of the Russian Security Council in the telephone conversation on December 14, in order to gain the agent's trust. The opposition politician learned details about the attack and information about possible participants. Eight secret agents are said to have been involved in the act. After Navalny collapsed on August 20 during a flight from Siberia to Moscow, the pilot made an emergency landing in the city of Omsk. The politician was first taken to a hospital there and later flown to the Berlin Charité. The Russian government denies that the secret services were involved in the attack.
