The 49-year-old pilot was killed in a small plane crash in Rhineland-Palatinate. As reported by the police in Trier, the twin-engine propeller plane crashed at Reinsfeld for an unknown cause. The pilot was therefore traveling from North Rhine-Westphalia to France alone. It crashed near a sports field and not far from houses.
Several witnesses observed the crash and noticed a loud bang shortly before. Rescue workers and police officers are on duty at the crash site.
