The day: Pioneer of the Japanese fashion industry died

The Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto is dead. He died at the age of 76 leukemiaas his daughter, actress Mirai Yamamoto said on Instagram. Yamamoto was considered Pioneer of the Japanese fashion industry and was among other things for his designs for Pop star David Bowie known.

Yamamoto joined in from the 1970s colorful avant-garde piecesthat crossed gender boundaries and often took up elements of Japanese culture, a name. For David Bowie's alter ego Ziggy Stardust he designed a number of outfits.
