The design and technical sheets of Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro and Pro + are confirmed

Xiaomi should announce its next Redmi K50 Pro and Pro + from March 17. But their design is already known and part of their technical sheet has leaked on the net. They could arrive in our regions under another name.

Xiaomi may have recently refreshed its entry/mid-range segment with its Redmi Note 11, but the brand has no intention of stopping there. As of next week, on March 17 more precisely, it will officially unveil the Redmi K50 Pro and Pro +. But the firm has already published visuals (and even a video) of these models.

We discover that they will have a “nano-microcrystalline” coating composed of small reflective crystals, which will allow it to shine at the slightest ray of light. After the Realme 9 Pro+ and its “chameleon” back, Xiaomi is also trying to stand out on this point. Both devices will therefore sport the same design. The fingerprint reader will be located on the edge.

We recall that the Redmi K40 was launched in Europe under the name Poco F3. These models could therefore follow the same path in our regions.

A solid technical sheet

The two models should not ship the same SoC. The Redmi K50 Pro would be equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 8100, which we told you about recently. The Pro+ version would benefit from the Dimensity 9000, whose performance promises to be very interesting. Both mobiles appeared on the Geekbench database accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and running Android 12.

The official rendering allows us to observe a triple photo module consisting of a 108 megapixel wide angle, integrated into a large photo island. It will offer optical stabilization, and will equip both versions.

Autonomy should be ensured by a 5000 mAh battery, but the power of fast charging is debated. Xiaomi could opt for its Hypercharge technology at 120 W but nothing is certain yet. In any case, there are only six short days to wait before gleaning the latest information.
