The Devil in Me, new features and lifespan

First of all, remember that The Devil in Me is intended to be the fourth and final episode of season 1 of The Dark Pictures anthology, developed by Supermassive Games, and therefore comes after Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes.

In The Devil in Me, players will embody several characters, all members of the Lonnit Entertainment team. Following a call from a mysterious Granthem Du’Met, the latter decide to visit a reconstruction of the “bloody castle of HH Holmes”, in order to shoot a show. Unfortunately, not everything will go as planned.

Thanks to an article published on Bandai Namco’s official website and a recent video, we learn a little more about to new features distilled in The Devil in Me. First of all, the title should offer more immersion allowing everyone to freely explore the different areas. Thus, we will be able to climb on objects, slip through narrow passages, jump, etc. The characters therefore benefit fromimproved mobility.

Moreover, in The Devil in Me, the protagonists will be equipped with various tools : a pen to reveal a message, a business card to force the locks, a camera and many other objects. Note, however, that some of these tools will have a durability gauge and must therefore be used wisely. Nevertheless, they will most certainly prove useful in view of multiple puzzles (hidden codes, labyrinthine spaces, etc.) that await us on the app.

According to the information shared, in particular by the director of the game, Tom Heaton, The Devil in Me should offer a lifetime a little longer than that of its elders: count 7 hoursapproximately, to fully cover this new adventure (5 hours for Man of Medan and Little Hope, for example).

The Devil in Me arrives on November 18 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles. Moreover, several editions are planned and pre-orders are open. Also be aware that the PC configurations of The Devil in Me are known.
