The discovery of a skull revives the search for a boy killed by sadists in 1964

The discovery of a skull by an amateur detective relaunched the search for Keith Bennett’s body on September 29. It’s about the boy murdered by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley in 1964.

Ian Brady and Myra Hindley are two of England’s most notorious serial killers. Moreover, the murders that this couple committed shook the countryside of Manchester in the 1960s. In all, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley had five unfortunate victims, Pauline Reade16 years old, John Kilbride12 years, Lesley Ann Downey10 years, Edward Evans17 years old, and Keith Bennett, 12 years. One of the victims was going to a ball when she was abducted. The couple of sadists abducted the other victim from a market. As for little Lesley Ann Downey, she was kidnapped at a carnival while the last victim had been invited for a simple drink.

“Keith Bennett, 12 years old, went to his grandmother’s house when he fell into the clutches of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley”, Explain NY Post. The two sadistic killers sexually assaulted and tortured their victims before killing them. Ian Brady and Myra Hindley enjoyed recording and photograph their actions. The bodies of all the victims were found except one, that of Keith Bennett, leaving his mother Winnie devastated until her death in 2011. It is Russell Edwardsan amateur sleuth who investigated the death of Keith Bennett and managed to uncover new elements that could lead to the discovery of his body.

A skull discovered next to his makeshift grave

According to NY Postthe British authorities would have started research on Saddleworth Moor, Manchester, on Thursday September 29th. This after Russell Edwards found a skull near what he thinks is Keith Bennett’s makeshift grave. Only, so far, the authorities have not done no major discoveries. “We have not found any identifiable human remains, but our work to excavate the site continues,” said Cheryl Hughes, Greater Manchester Police Force Review Manager. Note that Ian Brady is dead behind bars in 2017, refusing to tell authorities, until on his deathbed, where he buried Bennett. As for Myra Hindley, she died in 2002.
