The Division Heartland: Ubisoft cancels its free-to-play shooter!

Three years ago, Ubisoft revealed Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, a free-to-play PvPvE developped by Red Storm Entertainment. A title that has been awaited on computers and consoles for many years, which has already undergone several internal testing phases and even a closed beta.

Unfortunately, The Division Heartland will never see the light of day. As relayed IGNin its latest financial statement, Ubisoft announced the cancellation of The Division Heartland, to focus on “bigger opportunities”. The studio will assign developers on XDefiant And Rainbow Sixall this is part of a broader restructuring, Ubisoft wants, like everyone else, to reduce costs and concentrate on fewer but more ambitious games, like those mentioned above, or evenAssassin’s Creed Shadows. The studio said:

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease development of Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, effective immediately. Our priority now is to support our talented Red Storm Entertainment studio team members, who will transition to new projects within our company, including XDefiant and Rainbow Six.

The Division Heartland has been so discreet in recent years that its cancellation may not sadden many people. Ubisoft is customary because, the arena fighting game Project Q and the sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising suffered the same fate. Fans now hope that The Division 3announced last year, does not suffer the same fate.

Anyway, we have an appointment next June for theUbisoft Forward 2024, the studio should make numerous announcements there. You can find The Division 2 from €5.90 on Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac And Gamesplanet.
