The impressive tsunami that is Palworld knows no end, its wave of craze having even reached new heights.

Pocketpair’s event title was released in early access just five days ago, and the budding Poké…Pals trainer count shows no signs of slowing down. On the contrary, its evolution turns out to be exponential, according to the latest readings taken on Steam and Game Pass. And that’s without counting on the figures that have remained secret for the Xbox Series X|S, the last platform on which Palworld was deployed.

The Pals achieve victory against Counter-Strike

New day, new astonishing record for the improbable mix between Ark And Pokémon. Japanese studio Pocketpair announced today that it had recorded 7 million sales, just five days after its early access release. He passed thus Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which reached this symbolic threshold a week after its release. Geoff Keighley, the organizer of The Game Awards, contacted the team for more information about this gargantuan figure for a game that came virtually out of nowhere.

It therefore seems that this only concerns sales on Steam. This explains, among other things, a peak in simultaneously active users in-game on the Valve platform which continues to skyrocket. At the time of writing, SteamDB tells us that this spike on Palworld exceeded that of Counter-Strike, yet the standard bearer of Steam (respectively 1,864,421 users against 1,818,773). Furthermore, Palworld currently has over 1.2 million concurrently active users.

The Pocketpair title now occupies second place on the podium for the most played games of all time on Steam, only surpassed by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (Battlegrounds). This sits much higher still, with a peak set at more than 3 million active users. The next summit to reach Palworld ?

Du Pal blessed for Xbox and especially Pocketpair?

In addition to Valve’s platform, things also seem to be looking good on the Xbox side. While we don’t know exactly how many players have purchased the game on Series X|S or tried it on Game Pass, things seem to be going well there. On the Microsoft subscription service, we can notice in particular that Palworld reached the top spot in trends, ahead of League of Legends And Valorantdeveloped by Riot Games which is currently in difficulty.

However, the version of the game available on Series X|S and Game Pass is slightly different from the one accessible on Steam. On consoles, multiplayer games can only accommodate 4 trainers, instead of 32 via dedicated server on PC. In addition, it seems that the build offered in the Xbox ecosystem is older than what is available to Steam users. Pocketpair has not lost its way in the face of such success on consoles and would therefore consider bringing its new flagship title to PS5.

In any case, these are absolutely amazing results for a game that no one expected and despite the countless presumptions of plagiarism and use of AI against it. See you tomorrow to learn that Palworld broke yet another improbable record?
